Beijing (ZXZC)- On August 7, the CEO of Huawei's Intelligent Automotive Solution Business Unit, Yu Chengdong, took to social media to share a significant announcement. During the recently concluded HDC2023 (Huawei Developer Conference 2023), HarmonyOS 4 was officially unveiled.

Yu Chengdong also revealed an exciting piece of news, the debut of the first all-electric sports coupe under its Huawei Smart Selection collaborative car-making initiative, which will feature the cutting-edge HarmonyOS 4 onboard operating system.

Named "Luxeed," as unveiled in an accompanying image on Yu Chengdong's Weibo post, this electric sports coupe marks a groundbreaking addition to the Huawei Smart Selection lineup. "Introducing a new category to Huawei Smart Selection vehicles, it embodies a disruptive design language and promises an unparalleled sports coupe experience," Yu Chengdong stated.

Note that the Huawei Smart Selection partnership model allows Huawei to cooperate with automakers, providing them with product definition, marketing, and core intelligence technologies, instead of producing vehicles independently.

Considering the nomenclature of the new vehicle and industry speculation, the Luxeed is believed to be a collaborative effort between Huawei and Chery, aligning with Chery's EXEED brand. The overall design of the Luxeed, as hinted by previous industry leaks, shares similarities with the Chery EXEED's STERRA ES model, featuring distinctive elements such as a roof-mounted LiDAR system and a sleek, aerodynamic profile that exudes a compelling sporty ambiance.
