Cadillac sees China sales surge YoY in Apr. 2023
Beijing (ZXZC)- In the fourth month of 2023, Cadillac achieved positive year-on-year surge in its China sales across its entire model lineup, according to the sales record Cadillac released on May 6.

In April, the American premium vehicle brand sold 17,867 vehicles in the world’s largest auto market. Among which, 9,077 units were sedans, soaring 155.4% from a year ago. Meanwhile, the SUV sector boasts a 95.7% year-over-year hike in April sales which came in at 8,790 units.
Specifically, the Cadillac CT5 sedan was sold by 7,249 units in the past month, which shot up 179% from the prior-year period. Among the SUVs sold last month, the XT5 saw a spike of 106.5% in sales compared to a year ago, which stood at 3,865 units, and sales of the XT6 jumped 50.2% from a year earlier to 1,832 units in April.
Aside from the sales records, Cadillac also disclosed its future product plan, stating that the company will launch a series of new sedans and SUVs with a facelift on the outside and an upgraded interior. Moreover, starting with the battery-electric LYRIQ model, Cadillac holds plans to release more battery-electric models built on the Ultium platform. The second Cadillac-branded model that rides on the Ultium platform will be unveiled in the second half of this year.
