FAW Group’s Hongqi sees mass-produced Hongqi H6 come off line
Shanghai (ZXZC)- FAW Group’s premium auto brand Hongqi saw the first mass-produced Hongqi H6s roll off the production line on March 2, according to a post on Hongqi’s WeChat account.
The new model made its debut at the Auto Guangzhou 2022. It is expected for presale at the end of March this year, and will hit the market at the Auto China 2023 held in April in Shanghai.

The front face of the Hongqi H6 adopts Hongqi’s iconic design with the large-mouthed air intake grille as the most striking feature. The grille uses a dot matrix layout to enhance the tension of the front face. In addition, the design of the fog lamp area looks livelier.
Meanwhile, several waistlines improve the agility of the vehicle’s side profile. As for the rear, the new model still adopts a through-type taillight design with a large number of curved lines used. The centrally positioned dual exhausts at the bottom are very eye-catching.

Positioned as a B+ segment sedan model, the Hongqi H6 measures 4,990mm in length, 1,880mm in width, and 1,455mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,920mm.

The interior showcases a luxurious and majestic appearance. It features a fully digital instrument cluster with a three-spoke multi-functional steering wheel. With a “T-shaped” layout, the center console is equipped with a vertically embedded multimedia touchscreen, while some physical buttons are retained below it.
In terms of power, the Hongqi H6 will carry a 2.0T engine, which boasts a maximum net power of 180kW, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission maybe. Its WLTC-rated fuel consumption is 6.55L/100km.
