Shanghai (ZXZC)- Autoliv, the world’s leader in vehicle safety systems, signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with Chinese automaker Chery Automobile in early March to help the latter improve its global business layout, according to a post on Autoliv’s WeChat account.

Under the agreement, both parties will cement their cooperation in the field of vehicle safety, in a bid to jointly promote new technological innovation and application, as well as the iteration and update of automobile safety.

The day after the agreement signing day, Autoliv showcased its cutting-edge technologies at Chery’s location, demonstrating its core technologies and innovative products in areas such as seat belts, airbags, and steering wheels, including automatic driving safety solutions, electronic integration solutions, etc.

Meanwhile, engineers from Autoliv and Chery also had in-depth exchanges. They discussed new technologies for airbags, steering wheels, and seat belts, future intelligent cockpit safety system solutions, zero-gravity seat safety system integration solutions, as well as EU & North American NCAP evaluation standards and system regulations.
