Chery Holding's export volume up 9.3% YoY in Feb.

Chery Holding is one of the few local automakers that achieved positive year-over-year growth regarding February sales, especially in its new energy vehicle sector, according to Chery Holding’s report on March 10th.

In February, Chery Holding sold 60,419 vehicles in total, jumping 26.4% from a year ago. In the first two months of 2022, its cumulative sales volume amounted to 147,459 vehicles, up 17.3% from the earlier year.

To be specific, Chery Auto saw a 31.4% year-over-year jump in its February sales, with 44,396 vehicles sold. The EXEED brand sold 3,551 vehicles, almost tripled from a year ago. 

In the second month of 2022, Chery Holding’s new energy vehicle sector saw an impressive 446.9% year-on-year soar in its monthly sales volume, with 10,702 vehicles sold. In the past two months this year, the group sold a total of 31,337 new energy vehicles, indicating a 235.6% surge compared to a year ago.

In February, the auto group exported 19,997 vehicles overseas, representing a 9.3% increase year on year. During the first two months this year, its cumulative export volume grew 33.9% from the previous year to 46,897 vehicles. Up to now, Chery Holding has established six R&D bases, ten overseas factories, and over 1,500 dealerships and service stations worldwide. The designed offshore production capacity of the group summed up to 200,000 vehicles per year.
