NIO sees 20% of Jan. deliveries contributed by delivery center in Nanxiang, Shanghai

Shanghai (ZXZC)- NIO’s delivery center in Nanxiang, a town in the Jiading district of Shanghai city, recorded a monthly delivery volume of 1,712 vehicles in Jan. 2023, ranking highest among all NIO’s delivery centers in China and accounting for around 20% of the startup’s overall Jan. deliveries, according to a local media report.

Starting operation on Jan. 1, 2023, the Nanxiang-based facility is NIO’s biggest-ever vehicle delivery center so far in the world. Aside from the regular functional areas for car delivery, parking, etc., it is also has the spaces for official temporary license resgiration and car decoration.

Besides, the dedicated power swap stations at the Nanxiang delivery center have been basically taken shape. Upon their completion, a battery swap can be completed within 3 minutes.

As of today, NIO has deployed in Shanghai 8 NIO Houses, 21 NIO Houses, 11 service centers, as well as 103 battery swap stations.

NIO delivered 8,506 vehicles in January 2023, 85.6% of which were the vehicles based on the NT2.0 platform—the ET7s, the ES7s, and the ET5s.

NIO said on Feb. 7 it had by far built 1,313 battery swap stations across China, 348 of which were located along expressways. Its power swap network in the country has covered 5 north-south and 3 east-west expressways, as well as 8 city clusters.
