Nissan Motor faces 11.5% YoY drop in October China sales
Beijing (ZXZC)- In October, Nissan Motor encountered a year-on-year drop in its China monthly sales.

In the tenth month of 2022, Nissan Motor sold 88,868 vehicles in China, indicating a 11.5% decrease year over year. For the first ten months of the year, Nissan Motor’s cumulative sales volume amounted to 926,732 vehicles in the country, slipping down 17.3% from a year ago.
In the past month, Nissan Motor’s passenger vehicle joint venture, Dongfeng Motor Co. & Ltd. (DFL), sold 86,065 vehicles (including Nissan, Venucia, and Infiniti brands), representing a 10.6% decline compared to the same period in 2021. From January to October, the cumulative sales volume of DFL summed up to 790,042 vehicles, down 15.5% year on year.
To be specific, the Nissan brand sold 75,226 vehicles last month, which rose 7% from a year ago. In the meantime, with 10,418 vehicles sold, the Venucia brand saw a 2.7% increase from the previous month. Notably, Venucia sold a total of 82,891 vehicles in the first ten months of this year, indicating a 36.1% surge year-over-year.
Additionally, DFL's light truck business unit sold 2,803 vehicles in October in the Chinese market, representing a 31.2% decrease from the previous year. In the past ten months of 2022, its accumulative sales volume amounted to 136,690 vehicles, down 26.2% year over year.
