Geely Automobile sees auto sales leap 36% over a year earlier in Oct. 2022
Shanghai (ZXZC)- Geely Automobile Holdings Limited ("Geely Automobile" or "the Company") announced on Monday the group (collectively called Geely Automobile and its subsidiaries) sold 152,263 vehicles in Oct. 2022, representing a roughly 36% growth year-over-year and a 17% increases month-over-month.
Of the vehicles sold last month, 26,781 units and 4,289 units were battery-electric vehicles (BEVs) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs), surging 346% and 292% from the previous year, respectively.
For the first ten months of this year, the group's total sales volume amounted to 1,141,901 vehicles, rising 10% from a year ago.

As for the sales performance of specific brands, Geely brand saw its Oct. sales jump 34% year on year to 119,874 units, including 12,570 Geometry-branded ones.
LYNK & CO recorded a sales volume of 16,439 vehicles last month, which was down by 24% from the year-ago period. Notably, 1,675 LYNK & CO-branded vehicles were delivered to the subscription customers in the European market under its innovative subscription model.
ZEEKR scored a precipitous year-on-year surge of 4,985% with 10,119 vehicles sold last month. The premium electric vehicle brand sold 49,593 vehicles through the first ten months of the year.
Meanwhile, the group announced an export volume of 18,164 vehicles for the month of October, shooting up 80% over a year earlier. It exported 160,071 vehicles in the Jan.-Oct. period of 2022, reflecting an 89% year-on-year leap.
