Chery Holding YTD auto sales surpass 1 million units by October 2022
Beijing (ZXZC)- In the first ten months of 2022, Chery Holding saw its cumulative auto sales exceed 1 million units for the first time compared to the same span each year.

In October, Chery Holding sold 132,828 vehicles, representing a 50.4% surge year-on-year, marking the fifth consecutive month with over 100,000 vehicles sold. In the Jan.-Oct. period, the cumulative sales volume of the automaker amounted to 1026,758 vehicles, jumping 38.8% compared to a year earlier.
Specifically, Chery Auto sold 93,359 vehicles last month, indicating a 46.9% year-over-year surge. In the past ten months, Chery Auto recorded a cumulative sales volume of 773,222 vehicles, which soared 54% from the year-ago period. Sales of the Tiggo 8 still lead the way among all Chery-branded models, with 159,500 vehicles sold in the Jan.-Oct. period.
In the meantime, the group’s EXEED and JETOUR brands sold 6,510 and 25,174 vehicles respectively in October, representing a respective 29.1% and 126.1% rise over the previous year.
In the past month, Chery Holding sold 19,354 new energy vehicles (NEVs), indicating a 118.3% year-over-year soar. During the Jan.-Oct. period, the group sold 207,893 NEVs cumulatively, which shot up 182% from the year-ago period, refreshing Chery Holding’s historic NEV sales record.
