The EQE is the first made-in-China battery-electric vehicle model built on the EVA platform. Coming with three trim levels, the new model is priced at 528,000-585,000 yuan ($77,077-85,398).
Notably, the EQE is produced in BBAC’s Shunyi factory, which is constructed in compliance with Mercedes-Benz’s world-leading production base, Factory 56, and adheres to the German automaker’s Mercedes-Benz Cars Operations 360 strategy.
The batteries installed on the EQE are also produced in BBAC’s battery factory. The battery offers an industry-leading energy density and high-performance water cooling system.
Aside from manufacturing, the China-made EQE model is also adapted with various localized functions, such as Tencent’s video streaming application and AutoNavi’s customized navigation service.
The new EQE provides optimized rear seats for Chinese customers, as well as soundproof windows on both sides in the front row and an acoustic package which will come standard in the Chinese auto market.
According to the local needs of Chinese customers, the new EQE provides up to 10 locally exclusive upgrades, including rear center armrest, rear sunroof shade button, comfortable rear headrest, etc.
