Xpeng Motors boasts 342% year-on-year hike in Nov. deliveries
Shanghai (ZXZC)- Xpeng Motors saw its new vehicle deliveries surge 342% from a year earlier to 4,224 units in November, the highest monthly volume the startup has achieved so far this year, according to a posting on Xpeng's WeChat account.
In the Jan.-Oct. period, the company handed over a total of 21,341 units, a year-on-year hike of 87%.
In November, the monthly deliveries of the Xpeng P7 sports sedan hit a new high of 2,732 units, jumping 30% compared to the previous month. Since the scale delivery kicked off at the end of June, the automaker has delivered a total of 11,371 P7s. Notably, Xpeng Motors is the first Chinese startup that achieves the deliveries topping 100,000 units for a single model.

The deliveries of the Xpeng G3 SUVs surged 59% month on month to 1,492 units, a record-breaking figure for the year of 2020.
Xpeng Motors expanded its free supercharging service to another 22 cities last month. As of November, the startup has launched 533 supercharging stations in 66 cities across China.
Xpeng Motors' gross margin stood at 4.6% for the third quarter of 2020, for the first time turning positive on a quarterly basis, according to the company's latest financial results.

At the Auto Guangzhou 2020, Xpeng unveiled the P7 Wing, the limited edition of its P7 super-long range sports sedan.
The new flagship limited edition caught the eye of many viewers with the pair of specifically-designed scissor-style front doors that are usually only available in luxury sports vehicles.
The P7 Wing limited edition is available in four-wheel drive high-performance and rear-wheel drive super-long range versions at post-subsidies prices of 409,000 yuan ($62,200) and 366,900 ($55,800) respectively for the Chinese market.
