FAW Hongqi’s Nov. sales double year on year
Shanghai (ZXZC)- FAW's premium car brand Hongqi said its sales doubled year to year to 25,000 units in November. For the first eleven months of the year, the automaker sold a total of 178,100 new vehicles, posting a leap of 102% over a year earlier.

Hongqi expanded its dealership system to around 271 cities in China and sold 100,166 cars last year. It aimed to double the sales to 200,000 units this year, and further grow them to 1 million cars in the next decade, according to Xu Liuping, chairman of GAC Group.
In October, Hongqi unveiled its product planning designed for the next decade. It intends to form a lineup consisting of four series—L, S, H and Q, which includes such models as the Hongqi H6, the all-new H5, the HS9, the HS6, the HS3, the L3, the L1, the LS7, the LS3, the LQ7, the S5 and a MPV model. By the end of 2030, Hongqi's family is planned to be expanded to 30 models.
At the Auto Guangzhou 2020, Hongqi showcased eights models, namely the H5, the HS5, the H7, the HS7, the H9, the E-HS9, the HS7+ and two tailor-made versions of the H9+.

The E-HS9 rolled off the production line on Nov. 15.
Positioned as a large-sized all-electric SUV, the Hongqi E-HS9 comes with two NEDC-rated ranges—460km and 510km. It is powered by an electric motor that churns out 160kW or 245kW, and can zip from zero to 100km/h in only 4.9 seconds.
Its presale prices range from 550,000 yuan ($83,520) and 750,000 yuan ($113,890). The new model is about to hit the market on December 4.
