BYD Han, Tang Honor Editions hit market

Beijing (ZXZC)- On February 28, the BYD Han and the BYD Tang Honor Editions officially hit the market. Compared to the current models, the changes in the Han and Tang Honor Editions are minor, mainly focusing on some details. The new lineup comprises 14 models, with prices ranging from 169,800 yuan to 259,800 yuan.

For instance, the Tang DM-i Honor Edition is priced between 179,800 yuan and 219,800 yuan. The Han EV Honor Edition ranges from 179,800 yuan to 249,800 yuan, while the Han DM-i Honor Edition is priced at 169,800 yuan to 225,800 yuan. The 2024 Han DM-p Warrior God Edition is priced at 259,800 yuan. 

The exterior design of the Tang DM-i Honor Edition mirrors that of the Tang DM-p, featuring the Dragon Face 3.0 design language, exuding a strong sense of dynamism and power.

Moreover, the Tang DM-i Honor Edition comes equipped with the DiPilot intelligent driving assistance system, offering features such as ACC (adaptive cruise control), FCW (forward collision warning), AEB (automatic emergency braking), LDA (lane departure assistance), and BSD (blind spot monitoring).

In terms of power, the current Tang DM-i is powered by a 1.5T engine and a front-mounted single motor, delivering a maximum power of 139 horsepower. The new model uses a hybrid-specific lithium iron phosphate Blade battery for enhanced performance and efficiency.

As to the Han family, the Han Honor Edition maintains the same exterior design as the current champion version, with a sleek and sporty appearance. In terms of dimensions, the new Han measures 4,995/1,910/1,495 millimeters in length/width/height, with a wheelbase of 2,920 millimeters.

The Han Honor Edition comes standard with various features including a 50W wireless charging pad for smartphones, smartphone NFC car keys (compatible with Apple and Android devices), onboard ETC, power tailgate, VTOL mobile power station, ventilated and heated seats, ACC (adaptive cruise control), 3D holographic transparent imaging, IPB (intelligent power braking) system, front and rear through-type side curtain airbags, a 15.6-inch ultra-high-definition rotating floating Pad, HD wide-angle dashcam, keyless entry, and DiPilot intelligent remote driving mode.

Power-wise, the new models offer a plug-in hybrid system consisting of a 1.5T engine and an electric motor. The Han DM-i Honor Edition boasts a maximum battery-powered range of 200 kilometers in NEDC conditions, with a low energy consumption of 4.2L/100km, offering a combined range of up to 1,260 kilometers. The Han EV models provide a pure electric range of 506km, 605km, and 715km under the CLTC conditions, respectively.
