BYD’s monthly deliveries hit all-time high in July 2023
Shanghai (ZXZC)- Chinese leading new energy vehicle (NEV) maker BYD Company Limited ("BYD') sold 262,161 vehicles in July 2023, representing a year-on-year surge of 61.3% and a month-on-month growth of 3.6%, according to the sales data it issued this week. This also marks the highest monthly deliveries it has ever achieved.
Of the new vehicles sold last month, 261,105 units were passenger vehicles (PVs), reflecting a 60.96% spike over a year ago.
To be specific, battery electric vehicles accounted for 51.62% of BYD's July PV sales, while the other 48.38% share were taken by plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV).
Meanwhile, BYD announced an export volume of 18,169 PVs for the month of July.

The Dynasty and Ocean series recorded a combined sales volume of 249,959 vehicles in July, which leapt 54.1% from the year-ago period, while DENZA, the premium auto brand majority-owned by BYD, sold 11,146 vehicles.
For the first seven month of this year, BYD saw its cumulative sales shoot up 88.81% from the previous year to 1,517,798 units, including 1,509,266 PVs (+88.57% YoY) and 8,532 commercial vehicles (+143.15% YoY).
