SVOLT’s starts production at power battery manufacturing base in Suining
Shanghai (ZXZC)- SVOLT, a Chinese power battery maker carved out of Great Wall Motor ("GWM"), on Oct. 31 celebrated the production beginning at the first phase of its lithium ion power battery factory in Suining city, Sichuan province, the company announced via its WeChat account.
The last move signifies that SVOLT's first manufacturing base in Southwest China has become operational and the company has taken a stride forward in term of its strategic deployment in Southwest China, said the battery manufacturer.

The Suining base's first phase is expected to reach an annual battery production capacity of 20GWh when it becomes fully operational. As SVOLT's model factory regarding the level of intelligence, technology, and low carbon, it introduces the company's next-generation high-speed stacking technology, high-speed laser die-cutting technology, and fully closed annular laser welding technology, high-efficiency energy storage battery testing, and other cutting-edge technologies, in order to offer clients batteries with high safety and quality.
SVOLT added the second phase of the Suning base is under construction and its production lines are expected to be well-prepared in mid-2023. The two phases will feature a combined designed production capacity of 29GWh per year, serving as a facility that integrates intelligent manufacturing, R&D, and testing functions.

On Nov. 2, SVOLT announced that its in-house developed third-generation high-speed stacking technology has been officially used in volume production. Using the new technology, the stacking efficiency is improved to 0.125 seconds per piece, versus the 0.45 seconds per piece for the second-generation one.
