Mona's first model is named M03 and is meant to honor the Tesla Model 3, He Xiaopeng, Xpeng's chairman and CEO, said at a July 3 event.

Xpeng's other much-anticipated new model is the P7+, which is expected to go on sale in the fourth quarter. The model was included in a regulatory filing catalog last month, allowing core specifications to be revealed.

The P7+ will not be using any LiDAR and will switch to a pure vision solution similar to the Tesla FSD, CnEVPost learned exclusively last month.
