BYD sells record 342,383 NEVs in Jul, PHEVs continue strong growth

BYD sold 10.46 percent fewer passenger BEVs in July than in June, while sales of PHEVs hit their fifth consecutive record high.

Its commercial NEVs sold 1,584 units in July, up 50 percent from a year ago and up 9.47 percent from June.

BYD sold 130,000 units of passenger BEVs in July, down 3.55 percent from a year ago and down 10.46 percent from June.

It sold 210,799 passenger PHEVs in July, its fifth consecutive record high since March. That's up 66.87 percent year-on-year and up 8.08 percent from June.

In July, BYD sold 30,014 vehicles in overseas markets, up 65.19 percent year-on-year and up 11.18 percent from June.

In addition to being China's largest NEV maker, BYD is also China's second-largest power battery maker.

BYD's installed capacity of power and energy storage batteries amounted to about 16.519 GWh in July, up 33.15 percent year-on-year and up 2.6 percent from June.

BYD sold 1,955,366 NEVs in January-July, up 28.83 percent year-on-year.

Its passenger NEVs sold 1,947,944 units in January-July, up 29.07 percent year-on-year.

Commercial NEVs sold 7,422 units in the first seven months, down 13.01 percent year-on-year.

BYD's passenger BEVs sold 856,153 units in January-July, up 13.91 percent year-on-year.

Passenger PHEVs sold 1,091,791 units in January-July, up 44.1 percent year-on-year.

BYD sold 233,418 units overseas in January-July, up 152.46 percent year-on-year.

BYD's installed capacity of power and energy storage batteries amounted to about 89.074 GWh in January-July, up 22.60 percent year-on-year.
