AutoNavi launches AMAP AUTO 3.0 using nebula engine
Shanghai (ZXZC)- On March 29, AutoNavi, a China's leading online mapping service provider, officially launched its new-generation intelligent in-vehicle navigation dubbed AMAP AUTO 3.0.
As the first Internet-connected in-vehicle navigation product in China, AMAP AUTO has been widely acknowledged by its partners and consumers by virtue of the accurate grasp of consumers’ demands.
By the end of 2017, AMAP AUTO had cumulated over 20 million users with 8 public versions launched. So far, AMAP AUTO has been installed in over 200 models from more than 20 auto brands. In addition, it has become the standard-equipped navigation system for around 400 types of aftermarket-installed vehicle mirrors in cooperation with nearly 120 companies.
Chen Zhi, general manager of product for AutoNavi's auto unit, introduced that the AMAP AUTO 3.0 adopts the company's ninth-generation engine system dubbed nebula engine that can enhance the performances in data specification, localization, planning as well as data specification.
Specifically, the nebula engine is able to sharply decrease 85 % of updating and iteration data volumes with the usage of incremental updating technology.
Besides, it reportedly utilizes AutoNavi's fusion localizing technology that makes the accuracy rate increased 28% over the traditional GPS. Besides, the recognition rates of viaducts as well as main and side roads are obviously improved by using the nebula engine.
According to local media, the AMAP AUTO 3.0, based on the 2.0 version, can achieve a deeper integration with the data collected from other in-vehicle systems so as to deliver a series of mobility services involving payment, social search, security and real-time information, etc.
