Shanghai (ZXZC)-As a new exploration by Geely Auto in the future transportation models, Caocaokeji, a tailored taxi service, has achieved profitability in some cities after 17-month operation.

Till the end of June, 2017, the domestic auto parc has reached 300m units, giving too much burdens on roads, together with the annual auto sales volume of 30m units. That’s why shared vehicles are highly expected by the public in the future.

In recent years, all auto companies are exploring the new modes for shared vehicles, including the self-driving car-sharing mode by Global Car Sharing and picking-up services by Caocao and Shouqi Group. Other sharing platforms adopt the sharing mode by public resources.

Self-driving car-sharing mode needs much social sharing resources, including the parking lots and high maintenance costs, which is not suitable for Geely Auto in the current period. But the picking-up model adopted by Caocao also needs training on drivers and license certificates for vehicles, which will restrict its expansion to some extent. Currently, Caocao has covered 14 cities after its operation 17 months ago with daily order of 100,000. It can be predicted that more auto companies will follow Caocao mode and explore other transportation modes in the near future.
