Dongfeng Motor Corporation boasts 41.5% YoY surge in Jan.-Feb. sales volume

Dongfeng Motor Corporation (DFMC) recently disclosed that in the first two months of 2024, the group sold a total of 420,000 vehicles, marking a significant 41.5% year-on-year surge.

Breaking down the numbers, the company's wholly-owned brands saw their passenger car sales reach 135,000 units during the Jan.-Feb. period, reflecting a year-on-year soar of 107.2%%. Meanwhile, passenger car sales under DFMC’s joint ventures stood at 202,000 units. In the first two months of this year, DFMC’s commercial vehicle sales stood at 79,000 units, indicating a 23.9% year-on-year jump. 

In the Jan.-Feb. period, DFMC also exported 32,000 vehicles to overseas markets, witnessing a notable 21.5% increase compared to the same period last year.

As to the year-to-date performance of each brand, Dongfeng AEOLUS, eπ, and Nammi brands collectively sold 29,000 vehicles in the first two months, representing a staggering 100.9% year-on-year spike. VOYAH, the premium new energy vehicle brand of DFMC, sold roughly 10,000 vehicles in the two-month span, marking an impressive 285% spike from a year ago. 

Jan.-Feb. sales of Dongfeng Nissan, which operates Nissan, INFINITI, and Venucia brands, amounted to 109,000 units, while Dongfeng Honda achieved sales of 93,000 units, indicating year-on-year growth of 7.4% and 49.9%, respectively. 

The company's new energy vehicle sales witnessed a substantial growth 198.1% year-on-year in the first two months of this year, with sales reaching 116,000 units.
