Avatr, a premium Chinese electric vehicle brand, launched on Thursday a new version of its Avatr 11 SUV that features Huawei's latest smart vehicle solutions.

The Harmony version, as it is officially called, highlights the Chinese technology giant's smart cabin based on its Harmony operating system and its latest driving-assist system ADS 2.0, said Avatr Chairman and CEO Tan Benhong.

The new version also has a sportier look, a more luxurious interior and a driving range up to 730 km on one charge, he said.

Among other things, the new Avatr 11 enables an onboard experience on its displays for drivers and passengers alike much similar to the one on mobile phones, with such things as easy-to-use apps and movable icons.

Huawei's updated ADS 2.0 offers better driving-assist functions on expressways, urban roads and in parking lots, and it is cutting reliance on high-definition maps.

Tan said the system has made its new version at least "one generation ahead" of its rivals in the market.

Avatr is one of the major EV startups in China, backed by State-owned carmaker Changan, Huawei and the country's battery giant CATL. The cumulative deliveries of its Avatr 11 have reached over 12,000 units.
