Changan Automobile’s wholly-owned brands score 60.03% YoY surge in Jun. NEV sales
Beijing (ZXZC)- Chinese automaker Changan Automobile announced on July 3 its monthly sales in June 2024, which came in at 225,013 vehicles, indicating a slight dip of 0.3% year-on-year.
Among the vehicles sold in the past month, 63,586 units were new energy vehicles (NEVs) under the automaker’s wholly-owned brands. In the Jan.-Jun. period, Changan’s wholly-owned brands sold a total of 299,065 NEVs, which surged 69.87% year on year.

In the first half of this year, Changan Automobile's sales amounted to 1,334,051 vehicles, rising 9.74% from a year ago. Year-to-date sales of vehicles under the company’s wholly-owned brands totaled 1,121,346 units, representing a 9.88% increase year-over-year. Of these vehicles sold in the period, 821,934 units were passenger cars, growing 7.01% from that of the previous year.
In the first six months of this year, Changan Automobile exported 203,207 vehicles under its wholly-owned brands, indicating a year-on-year soar of 74.85%.
As to Changan Automobile's joint ventures, Changan Ford sold 19,513 vehicles in June, while Changan Mazda sold 5,535 vehicles, representing a respective 3.18% and 25.31% drop compared to the previous year.
