Nissan reports June sales of 52,852 vehicles in China

Beijing (ZXZC)- On July 8, Nissan Motor announced its sales performance for June 2024 in China, revealing a total of 52,852 units sold across its passenger and light commercial vehicle segments, which tumbled 23.56% from a year ago.

In the past month, Dongfeng Nissan, which includes the Nissan, Venucia, and INFINITI brands, achieved sales of 49,838 units, representing a 23.08% decline year-over-year. The light commercial vehicle segment, represented by Zhengzhou Nissan, contributed 3,014 units to the total, indicating a 30.63% decrease from that of the previous year.

For the first half of 2024, Nissan’s cumulative sales in China, encompassing both passenger and light commercial vehicles, reached 339,297 units, notching down 5.36% year on year.

On June 16, Dongfeng Nissan celebrated the production and sale of its 16 millionth vehicle, which is a six-seat Pathfinder SUV. This achievement comes 21 years after the joint venture’s first SUNNY car rolled off the assembly line in 2003.

Moreover, Dongfeng Nissan unveiled the "Dongfeng Nissan RE-CHARGE 100 Action Plan" on the same day. By the end of 2026, Dongfeng Nissan plans to introduce seven new energy vehicle models. Additionally, a brand management committee will be established to enhance brand strategy, and unprecedented investments will be made in R&D to fully transition to new energy vehicles and advance vehicle intelligence.
