On June 28, Leapmotor officially put its intelligent six-seater SUV, the C16, onto the market, featuring a price range between 155,800 yuan and 185,800 yuan. Within the first 48 hours of its market launch, the C16 received fixed-orders of 5,208 units, with mid-to-high-end variants accounting for 97% of the order volume and the Intelligent Driving version alone making up 30%. Additionally, 95% of customers opted for the full configuration package.

The introduction of the C16 signals a new chapter for Leapmotor as it advances into the second half of the year.

In related news, Stellantis, a stakeholder in Leapmotor International B.V., confirmed on June 20 that the first trial production units of the Leapmotor T03 have been successfully assembled at Stellantis' Tychy plant in Poland. This follows earlier reports of the T03's production at Stellantis' Polish facility. Stellantis China commented, "If economically feasible, Leapmotor vehicles can be produced at any Stellantis plant globally. Some models will be produced in Europe, but the specific factories have yet to be disclosed."
