This vehicle, developed by Huawei in collaboration with Chery, is the second model in the Luxeed series. Mr. Yu highlighted that the "R” stands for “Revolution”, symbolizing breakthrough and disruption. The Luxeed R7 features a new coupe SUV design with a sleek, sporty silhouette and an “unexpectedly spacious interior”, said Mr. Yu. It will also incorporate Huawei's cutting-edge intelligent technology.

Reports suggest that the Luxeed R7, positioned below the AITO M9 jointly developed by Huawei and SERES, will be priced between 300,000 yuan and 400,000 yuan, aiming to compete with models like the Mercedes-Benz GLE (priced between 843,800 yuan and 947,800 yuan) and the BMW X6 (priced between 799,900 yuan and 975,900 yuan). The new car will feature Huawei's latest ADS 3.0 intelligent driving system and the Tuling platform, similar to the STELATO S9 (co-developed by Huawei and BAIC Motor) and the AITO M9.

Additionally, Mr. Yu hinted that the Luxeed R7 might be equipped with the latest generation HarmonyOS 4.0 smart cockpit system.

Regarding its powertrain, the Luxeed R7’s all-electric version is expected to come with the next-generation DriveONE 800V high-voltage silicon carbide power platform and Huawei's DriveONE three-in-one electric drive system. The extended-range version may feature a 1.5T range extender paired with a lithium iron phosphate battery, offering a CLTC-rated battery-powered range of over 200 km. The Luxeed R7 is anticipated to hit the market in the third quarter of this year.
