VOYAH, the premium EV brand of Dongfeng Motor, was reportedly seeing the body in white of its second model, the VOYAH Dreamer MPV, rolling off the production line, according to local media outlets.

The Dreamer is said to enter into the mass production phase soon, with presale and more information to be released at the upcoming Beijing Auto Show in April.

The VOYAH Dreamer is the second production model of the young brand and the first MPV model. The company took pride in the vehicle, branding it as the world’s first large-size battery-electric luxury MPV model.

The vehicle comes in two trims, an extended range version, and a battery-electric version. The pure-electric trim is powered by Dongfeng Motor’s electric platform ESSA, with a performance approach. According to the company, the MPV can run from 0-100km/h in 5.9 seconds, claimed as the fastest MPV on the market so far.

The Dreamer features a double wishbone suspension in the front and a multi-link suspension in the back, as the world’s first among MPVs.

Moreover, the interior of the Dreamer is where it shines. The center control consists of an adjustable integrated three-screen display. The furnish adopts genuine leather and rose gold trimmings. Aside from the typical seven-seater version, the Dreamer also comes with a four-seat customized version, with ventilation, heating, massage functions on seats, and a bar to enjoy the ride.  

In addition, the starting price of the Dreamer is not yet disclosed. However, VOYAH did say that the model is set to rival the Buick GL8 Avenir and the Toyota Alphard.
