Human Horizons, the Chinese EV startup owning the luxury EV brand, HiPhi, has struck a cooperation agreement with the municipal government of Qingdao to establish its China headquarters in the city.

The agreement specifies that the company will set up a HiPhi sales subsidiary and build a global-oriented world-class technology R&D center in Qingdao.

Currently, Human Horizons has formed a team with over 4,000 members, with rich experiences in the industry across the world. The company holds an operation and R&D engineering center in Shanghai, a HiPhi urban boutique factory in Yancheng, a digitization center in Beijing, a software center in Chengdu, and another R&D center in Tokyo.

The Qingdao China headquarters and sales company of Human Horizons will complete its business chain, setting a solid foundation for its future development.

The company has also laid out its sales and service network in most major Chinese cities. According to Human Horizons, the company’s only model on the market, the HiPhi X, has become the top-selling luxury EV model priced over RMB500,000) in the Chinese market.

In April, the company will showcase its second production model, the HiPhi Z, to the public at the upcoming Beijing Auto Show. Human Horizons said that the HiPhi Z would be on the market this year.
