The newly established company aims to meet the growing demand for high-quality automotive electronic components in China, said the company. Initially focusing on energy management products, it plans to gradually introduce the full product line of FORVIA HELLA automotive electronics.

Located adjacent to the HELLA Nanjing R&D Center, the strategic location of the new company allows for the optimal use of advanced infrastructure, comprehensive office and R&D facilities, and a team of experienced engineers. This strategic setup is expected to ensure a swift start-up and continuous expansion of the new company, which currently employs 20 professionals, with an anticipated growth to 80 employees as the business scale expands.

It has been revealed that the new company has already secured new customer orders and plans to officially start production of High Voltage Current Sensors (HVCS) in April 2024.

FORVIA HELLA has established comprehensive R&D and manufacturing capabilities in China. With the establishment of the new company, its electronics business unit now operates six locations in China (including joint ventures), featuring four R&D centers. Currently, FORVIA HELLA’s electronics arm employs about 2,400 staff members in China, approximately 700 of whom are R&D personnel.
