Beijing (ZXZC)- On November 25, Changan Automobile and Huawei solidified their collaboration by signing a "Memorandum of Investment Cooperation." Under the memorandum, Changan Automobile and its affiliates aim to invest in this venture, collectively owning a stake not exceeding 40%, demonstrating mutual support for the company's future endeavors.
This development has sparked widespread speculation, particularly surrounding the direction of the Huawei Smart Selection collaborative auto initiative. As one of the initial automotive companies to engage in this program, SERES took to addressing the situation on November 26, affirming invitations to jointly invest in target companies and collaborate on building an electrified and intelligent open platform. The company is actively evaluating participation in these investment and cooperation opportunities.

SERES emphasized its status as Huawei's deep-seated automotive partner with extensive collaboration and the highest vehicle shipment volume within Huawei's Intelligent Automotive Solution Business Unit (BU). As per their longstanding strategic agreement, the BU's strategic adjustments won't disrupt their enduring partnership, component supply chain, or their commitment to providing products and services to AITO vehicle owners and potential users.
This response from SERES corroborates speculations about Huawei and Changan Automobile's desire for active participation from Huawei Smart Selection partners in this open platform. The establishment of a new entity and collaboration with Changan marks Huawei's strategic evolution in the intelligent automotive sector.
