SAIC MAXUS launches fire new light bus brand ‘Xintu’ with four models unveiled
Shanghai (ZXZC)- On November 6, SAIC MAXUS officially unveiled its new light bus brand, "Xintu" (translating to "New Journey"), with four new models under this fire new brand—the Xintu V90, the Xintu V80, the Xintu EV70, and the Xintu V70 Black Knight Edition—launched at one go.

According to the automaker, the Xintu V80 starts at an official guide price of 107,800 yuan, while the Xintu EV70 begins at 234,000 yuan. The Xintu V70 Black Knight Edition offers an additional customization suite priced at 10,000 yuan. The Xintu V90 is already open for reservations, with a slated market launch at the end of the year.

Among these, the Xintu V90 boasts a striking design with a distinctive integrated front grille featuring a grid pattern and 5D-cut arrow-shaped elements, exemplifying a new era of business elegance. Under the hood, it is powered by the SAIC π 2.0T engine, delivering a maximum power of 130kW and a peak torque of 420N·m. Impressively, it boasts a fuel consumption of 7.6 liters per 100 kilometers. The vehicle offers a range of transmission options, including 9AT, 8AT, and 6AT, ensuring a comfortable and efficient driving experience.
Additionally, the Xintu V90 is equipped with an Level 2.5 intelligent driving assistance system, providing features like 0-150km/m full-speed-range adaptive cruise control (ACC), a new-generation high-definition 360° panoramic imaging system, and driver monitoring system (DMS), ensuring the safety and convenience of passengers. Notably, features such as intelligent connected infotainment system, a 12.3-inch high-definition touchscreen, a 4.2-inch high-definition instrument panel, Bosch ESP 9.3, keyless entry, one-key ignition, and electronic parking brake (EPB), which are typically reserved for higher-end models, come as standard in all Xintu V90 variants.

The Xintu V80, on the other hand, blends Chinese "Ding" (ancient Chinese cauldron) elements into its new front design, paired with a parameterized grid-patterned grille. The high-roof, long-wheelbase version offers an interior height exceeding 1.9 meters and a loading capacity of up to 11.4 cubic meters. Its tailgate is adjustable in three different angles—90°, 180°, and 270°—while the side sliding door opens to a width of up to 1.3 meters, making loading and unloading effortless.
Furthermore, both the long-wheelbase and short-wheelbase versions of the Xintu V80 offer an optional super-low roof, allowing easy passage through areas with a 2.1-meter height restriction. Powered by the SAIC π 2.0T engine, it delivers a maximum power of 108kW and peak torque of 340N·m, with a remarkable fuel consumption of as low as 7.5 liters per 100 kilometers and extended maintenance intervals of up to 20,000 kilometers.

The Xintu EV70 features a distinctive "diamond rhythm" design, complemented by a "three-piece" LED lighting assembly. It's equipped with the latest VCU 8.2 electronic control platform, offering offline monitoring for real-time battery health protection. Additionally, the liquid cooling and liquid heating technology is standard across the range, ensuring optimal battery performance.
Thanks to the six-in-one electric drive system, the vehicle achieves a maximum power of 150kW and peak torque of 330N·m, with a range of 420 kilometers (CLTC). The Xintu EV70 comes with the Level 2.5 ADAS and features a 12.3-inch floating high-definition touchscreen as standard, incorporating over 30 in-car applications and the ONE ID smart identity recognition function, providing unified control and management.
