Hongqi’s October retail sales exceed 37,200 units
Beijing (ZXZC)- Hongqi, the premium passenger car brand under FAW Group, saw its October retail sales exceed 37,200 units, marking a remarkable year-on-year growth of 28.5%.
Notably, the brand's new energy vehicle sales crossed the ten-thousand mark last month.

Hongqi has been making strides in the new energy vehicle market, and its latest offering, the EH7, has now completed the regulatory approval process by China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

The EH7 boasts the latest design language of the Hongqi new energy vehicle family, characterized by a distinctive U-shaped enclosed front grille, and it features the exclusive Hongqi new energy vehicle emblem. Positioned as a midsize pure-electric sedan built on the FMSs platform, it was previously showcased to the public as the Hongqi E001. The EH7's dimensions measure 4,980mm in length, 1,915mm in width, 1,490mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,000mm.
In terms of powertrain options, the EH7 offers both single-motor and dual-motor variants. The single-motor version delivers a maximum power output of 253kW, while the dual-motor version impressively reaches 455kW, all powered by ternary lithium batteries from CATL. The EH7 is expected to be available in battery-swappable and long-range fast-charging versions. The battery-swappable variant will provide a range of 600km and boasts a 60-second battery replacement time, with the option for future battery upgrades. The long-range fast-charging version achieves a remarkable 800km of range.
In the 2023-2024 period, Hongqi is set to launch three electric vehicles, starting with the EH7 in November this year. The lineup will be further expanded with the E202, an electric midsize SUV, scheduled for release in the second half of 2023, and the E702, a midsize electric sedan, anticipated to debut in the first half of 2024, solidifying Hongqi's presence in the electric vehicle segment.
