Beijing (ZXZC)- Chinese automaker JAC Group revealed that in September, the company achieved remarkable sales figures, with a total of 57,969 vehicles sold, marking a year-on-year growth of 21.59%.

This achievement reflects the eighth consecutive month for JAC Group to post a year-on-year sales increase.

For the first nine months of 2023, the cumulative sales of JAC Group reached 441,216 vehicles, jumping 18.7% year on year.

In the overseas markets, JAC Group maintained a strong growth trajectory. In September, the company exported 13,627 vehicles, representing a 24.78% spike from a year ago. The cumulative exports for the first nine months of 2023 stood at 126,857 vehicles, reflecting a 58.88% soar year-on-year.

In the passenger vehicle segment, JAC Group posted a 16.25% year-on-year increase with 38,794 vehicles sold. The cumulative sales for the first nine months of the year reached 268,558 vehicles, reflecting a year-on-year growth of 24.39%. 

Of the passenger cars sold in the last month, 23,085 units were battery-electric ones, growing 10.53% from the previous year. 

As to the commercial vehicle sector, the company achieved robust sales figures in September. With 19,175 units sold, the company boasted a notable year-on-year surge of 34.04%. This includes positive growth in all sub-categories, such as light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks, as well as multi-purpose commercial vehicles.

In the light commercial vehicle segment, sales of Kangling trucks soared 77.8% year on year in the past month. Additionally, the Weiling truck series saw a month-on-month sales surge of 35.8% in September sales, and a year-on-year growth of 28.2% in year-to-date sales. Furthermore, JAC's pickup truck business posted a year-on-year growth of 34.3% in September sales and a year-on-year jump of 14.4% in Jan.-Sept. sales.

In the heavy-duty commercial vehicle segment, JAC Group sold 1,339 vehicles last month, up 66.54% from a year ago.
