This agreement paves the way for BAIC BJEV’s ARCFOX premium electric vehicle brand to venture into the expansive Middle Eastern markets, specifically targeting the UAE and Saudi Arabia with its premium electric vehicle models.
Per the agreement, Bin Omeir Holding Group is set to procure ARCFOX vehicles, conduct Gulf region certifications, develop a Gulf-specific emergency call system, and perform high-temperature environmental adaptability testing. These preparations will facilitate the formal introduction of ARCFOX products into the Gulf region.
To kickstart this partnership, Bin Omeir Holding Group has already committed to the initial purchase of 600 ARCFOX vehicles. Furthermore, the two entities will explore the potential for collaboration in other areas, including equity partnerships, in the future.
Notably, on October 8, BAIC BJEV also joined forces with Japan's TURING company to introduce vehicles powered by intelligent driving technologies to the Japanese market. According to the agreement, the initial cooperative car model will be based on the ARCFOX αS electric sedan. TURING will make intelligent modifications to adapt the vehicle for the specific needs of the Japanese market, with plans to introduce it for sale in Japan in 2024.
