Honda Motor’s China sales rise 8.5% year on year in Sept. 2023
Shanghai (ZXZC)- In September 2023, Honda Motor recorded a retail sales volume of 109,666 units in China, scoring an 8.5% increase compared to the year-ago period and a 7.2% growth from the previous month, according to the company's official sales data.
Notably, the year-on-year rise in September sales came after three consecutive months of year-on-year decrease the Japanese automaker faced in the China market from June to August.

As for the sales of main products, Honda Motor saw three of its models—the ACCORD, the BREEZE, and the CR-V—each register a monthly retail volume of over 10,000 units last month in the world's largest auto market, while the CIVIC logged a sales volume exceeding 20,000 units.
For the first nine months of 2023, Honda Motor's cumulative retail sales in China amounted to 831,305 units, shrinking 20.9% from the previous year.
On September 21, Dongfeng Honda officially unveiled its fire new energy vehicle (NEV) brand, LINGXI, in Wuhan, along with the debut of LINGXI's first concept model, the LINGXI L.
The inaugural mass-produced vehicle under this brand is set to hit the market in 2024.
At the event, Dongfeng Honda also introduced its "Stay Ahead" brand logo and image, which embodies a three-in-one fusion of "technology, smart fun, and passion." This branding reflects the stamp of electrification in the age of intelligence, presenting a youthful, tech-savvy image for the electric mobility brand, said the automaker.
