Lynk & Co's sales in Sept. jump over 35% year on year

Lynk & Co, the premium automotive brand jointly owned by Geely and Volvo Cars, announced a monthly sales volume of 21,859 units for the month of September 2023, representing a year-on-year growth of over 35% and a month-on-month increase of around 17%. Notably, new energy vehicles accounted for 31% of the carmaker's total September auto sales.

Hongqi brand sells 39,000 vehicles in Sept.

Hongqi, the premium auto brand under FAW Group, sold around 39,000 vehicles in September 2023, reflecting an 18% growth over the previous year. It is worth noting that the sales of the all-new Hongqi H5 and the new Hongqi HS5 reached 12,361 units and 11,921 units last month.

Shenzhen expects around 1.3 million new energy vehicles to run on roads by 2025

On October 7th, the People's Government of Shenzhen City released the "Notice on Issuing the Implementation Plan for Achieving Carbon Peak" (referred to as the "Notice").

The "Notice" outlines several key targets: By 2025, approximately 60% of the newly added vehicles in the city will be powered by new energy and clean energy sources. At that time, there will be around 1.3 million new energy vehicles (NEVs), over 20,000 liquefied natural gas (LNG)-fueled vehicles, and about 2,000 fuel cell vehicles (FCVs) deployed across the city. By 2030, the proportion of new energy and clean energy-powered vehicles in newly added vehicles is projected to reach about 70%, and the total population of NEVs in the city will reach around 2 million.
