Chery eQ7 electric SUV hits market, starting at 129,900 yuan
Beijing (ZXZC)- On September 12, 2023, Chery officially put its Shuxiangjia pure-electric SUV onto the market. The name “Shuxiangjia” is the model’s official Chinese name, while it is also known as the Chery eQ7 in English.

This midsize electric SUV is tailored for family use, consisting of six variants, with prices ranging from 129,900 yuan to 169,900 yuan.
Built on China's first aluminum-based lightweight platform, the Chery eQ7 boasts an integrated design that harmonizes the body, chassis, and power electronics. Its dimensions measure 4,675mm in length, 1,910mm in width, and 1,660mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,830mm. Customers can choose from five different exterior colors.
Safety is a paramount focus for the Chery eQ7, featuring an ultra-secure body structure with a remarkable torsional stiffness of 39,800 N·m/deg, nearly double that of its peers. Additionally, the aluminum body's corrosion resistance ensures a rust-free lifespan, delivering a premium experience akin to luxury vehicles.

Inside, the eQ7 offers both spacious passenger accommodations and a premium feel. The front passenger queen seat, equipped with electric leg support and eight-way adjustments, as well as massage, ventilation, heating, and a “BOSS” button, enhances comfort. Multiple layers of soundproof glass and a high-quality sound system contribute to a supremely comfortable cabin and driving experience.
In terms of technology, the Chery eQ7 boasts robust hardware, including dual 12.3-inch floating touch screens and a full LCD instrument cluster, providing access to over 30 practical apps. Moreover, it features advanced intelligent driving assistance systems such as intelligent safety warnings, adaptive cruise control, and lane-keeping assistance, along with six smart scene experiences and L2+ intelligent driving assistance.
Performance-wise, the Chery eQ7 is equipped with a 155kW electric motor in a rear-wheel-drive configuration, achieving a top speed of 180 km/h. The motor uses an oil-cooling system and offers four driving modes, three steering modes, and two braking modes. The vehicle employs a lithium iron phosphate battery with two capacity options, delivering a range of 412km and 512km under CLTC conditions.
