Dongfeng Forthing presents new energy vehicle lineup at IAA MOBILITY 2023

Beijing (ZXZC)- Dongfeng Motor’s wholly-owned auto brand, Dongfeng Forthing, made a strong presence at the IAA MOBILITY 2023 with the display of its four new flagship models for overseas market.

The lineup includes the Leiting, the Youting (literally meaning "Yacht"), and the T5 models, as well as a new hybrid flagship MPV, featuring both hybrid and pure electric powertrain options. Additionally, a teaser for the brand's first all-electric sedan was revealed at the event. 

The aforementioned luxury flagship MPV, the U-TOUR V9 MPV, was also officially launched at the event.

The U-TOUR V9 is equipped with Dongfeng Motor’s latest plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) technology, utilizing a 1.5-liter turbocharged PHEV powertrain. It boasts an impressive thermal efficiency of 45.18%, resulting in class-leading fuel efficiency and extended electric range. The vehicle measures 5,251mm in length, 1,920mm in width, 1,810mm in height, and features a 3,018mm wheelbase.

In terms of high-tech luxury features, the vehicle comes with aviation-grade seats, an intelligent multi-screen setup, and high-speed NOA (Navigate on Autopilot) functionality, demonstrating Dongfeng Forthing's commitment to technological innovation.

Under its new energy strategy, Dongfeng Forthing will continue to expand its NEV product portfolio, covering sedans, SUVs, and MPVs. Next year, the company plans to introduce its first all-electric sedan, targeting the compact car market. 

At the IAA MOBILITY 2023, Dongfeng Forthing provided a sneak peek into this upcoming model. With a focus on aesthetics and personality, the new model will introduce a fresh all-electric design language, featuring Dongfeng Forthing's brand-new electric platform and upgraded Kaijia 2.0 (translates to “Armor" in English) battery technology, promising exceptional safety and individuality for consumers.
