Changan Automobile approved to build factory in Thailand
On August 15, Changan Automobile's proposal to invest 880 million Thai Baht ($250 million) in building an electric and hybrid vehicle production facility in Thailand has been greenlit by the Thailand Board of Investment (BOI). The planned factory, with a projected initial annual capacity of 100,000 units, aims to meet the surging demand for electric vehicles in Thailand, ASEAN, and other overseas markets.
