Dongfeng Motor to set up integrated headquarters for AEOLUS, eπ, Nami brands
Beijing (ZXZC)- On August 16, Dongfeng Motor Corporation (referred to as "Dongfeng Motor") unveiled its strategic action plan for its independent new energy vehicle (NEV) business, marking a significant management overhaul. The plan involves the integration of three major product series under the Dongfeng AEOLUS, Dongfeng eπ, and Dongfeng Nami brands.

Specifically, Dongfeng Motor will establish Dongfeng Passenger Vehicle Sales Co., Ltd. and Dongfeng Passenger Vehicle Manufacturing Headquarters to streamline the marketing and manufacturing efforts of these three product series. Furthermore, the group will centralize product planning and project management for the three brands, promoting alignment in commercial strategies, manufacturing processes, and marketing initiatives.
This move enhances the distinct positioning of each brand, as Dongfeng AEOLUS will accelerate its transition to new energy vehicles, Dongfeng eπ will emerge as an electric vehicle brand in the mainstream market, and Dongfeng Nami will target the compact electric segment, with its official launch scheduled for August 23.
Over the next three years, Dongfeng Motor will invest 50 billion yuan in wholly-owned brands’ NEV development, introducing 18 self-developed new energy passenger vehicle models and launching 22 basic commercial vehicle models. By 2024, Dongfeng Motor's mainstay passenger vehicle brands will achieve 100% electrification. By 2025, the company aims to surpass an annual sales volume of one million NEVs, with the three major brands’ sales accounting for over 700,000 units. Dongfeng Motor's goal for overseas exports entails a share of no less than 10% of the total sales volume for its independent brand vehicles.
