China’s EV startup, Aiways, has inked a strategic cooperation agreement with a local mobility service provider, Quantum Trip, for future intelligent mobility development, the carmaker announced on February 22nd.

Per the agreement, Aiways and Quantum Trip will cooperate in various transportation-related aspects, including smart transportation, traffic big data solutions, premium online ride-hailing operations, new energy vehicle promotions, and car-sharing services.

By virtue of Quantum Trip’s integrated transportation capacity and intelligent traffic service platforms, the partners aim to transform Aiways’ new energy vehicles into integrated intelligent transportation lifeforms. With the help of transportation big data and IoT technologies, the two companies wish to create a smart mobility ecosystem that connects the car, the road, the cloud, and the internet.

Founded in 2019, Quantum Trip’s strengths lie in customized mobility solutions, big data and intelligent control, as well as IoT software and services.

Aiways positioned itself as a user-driven intelligent mobility service company dedicated to improving users’ mobility experiences. The company’s first production model, the U5, has journeyed overseas to eleven European countries, including France, Germany, Denmark, Italy, and Sweden. Its second model, a battery-electric intelligent coupe SUV, the U6, will also hit the global market in 2022.
