Siemens China, XPeng to jointly build flexible smart production system for NEVs
Shanghai (ZXZC)- Siemens China inked a strategic partnership agreement with Chinese new energy vehicle startup XPeng on April 18 to jointly build a flexible intelligent production system for new energy vehicles (NEVs).
Leveraging its innovative technologies and insights in industrial digitalization, smart parks, smart energy, and low-carbon solutions, Siemens will assist XPeng in actively seeking new intelligent manufacturing models for the future. The duo will deepen their cooperation in digital factory construction, power battery development and manufacturing, energy storage, carbon neutrality consulting services, and talent training to jointly promote the development of China's NEV industry.
According to the agreement, Siemens will use its digital twin technology and powerful industrial software capabilities to support XPeng's digital factory planning, construction, continuous optimization and upgrading, and form a highly flexible intelligent production system to shorten the automaker’s product development cycle while improving quality.
Furthermore, based on its low-voltage intelligent power distribution and building technology solutions, Siemens will monitor and manage the supply and distribution infrastructure in XPeng's factory in real-time, comprehensively improving the digitalization and low-carbonization level of XPeng's production base and office park infrastructure.
