Shanghai (ZXZC)- The Lynk & Co 08 new energy SUV model, which is powered by two SE1000 SoCs from SiEngine, was showcased at the Auto Shanghai 2023 on April 20. The model is expected to hit the market in the second half of this year.

SiEngine is an automotive chip company jointly founded by Geely-backed ECARX and ARM China. The SE1000 is the company’s first self-developed 7-nanometer auto-grade SoC, which realized mass production and delivery in March this year. 

The SE1000 adopts a multi-core heterogeneous architecture, with 8 CPU cores realizing 90K DMIPS of computing power, a 14 core GPU with 900GFLOPS computing power, and 8 TOPS NPU computing power.

With the support of two SE1000 SoCs, the Lynk & Co 08 is able to smoothly run its industry-first 92-inch HUD with 2K definition. Moreover, the two chips’ total of 16TOPS computing power helps with the vehicle’s L0-L2 assistant driving functions, including APA, RPA, etc. In addition, the SE1000 also allows the vehicle’s eye-tracking function, which adjusts the AR-HUD to an optimal angle based on the driver’s eye level.
