SERES Group sees 21% MoM jump in Feb. sales

Beijing (ZXZC)- In the second month of this year, SERES Group, Huawei’s automaking partner previously known as Chongqing Sokon Industry Group, sold 12,773 vehicles in total.

SERES Group encountered a 15.72% decline year-on-year in February auto sales, but a 21% jump compared to the previous month. In the first two months of 2023, the automaker has cumulatively sold 23,329 vehicles so far, representing a 35.05% downturn over a year ago.

On the other hand, with 6,577 vehicles sold, the group’s new energy vehicle (NEV) sector boasted an outstanding 103.69% year-over-year spike in February sales. The company’s year-to-date NEV sales amounted to 11,462 vehicles, surging 69.83% from the same span last year. 

Specifically, among the NEVs sold in the past month, 3,505 units were from SERES Auto, which owns both SERES and AITO brands, shooting up 230.35% compared to the year-ago period. In the past two months, SERES Auto sold 7,995 NEVs in total, which reflected a 324.36% hike year-on-year.
