Changan Ford, Changan Mazda manage YoY growth in Feb. sales

Changan Auto saw its two jointly-owned brands outdo themselves in February sales performances, with positive growth compared to a year ago, Changan Auto reported on March 10th.

In the second month of 2022, Changan Auto sold a total of 138,145 vehicles, dropping 15.1% year over year. The cumulative sales volume of the group amounted to 415,389 vehicles in the first two months this year.

Changan Auto saw an 11.18% year-on-year decline in its wholly-owned passenger vehicle sales from January to February, with a cumulative 228,542 units sold. The sales of its new energy vehicles summed up to 24,721 vehicles in the two months.

To be specific, Changan Auto’s CS75 SUV model sold the most in the past two months, with 47,205 vehicles sold. In the meantime, the group’s intelligent vehicle lineup, the UNI Series, sold 22,078 vehicles.

On the other hand, Changan Auto’s jointly owned brands, Changan Ford and Changan Mazda, both scored positive year-over-year growth in February sales. With 11,934 vehicles sold, Changan Ford managed a 9.17% increase from a year ago, while the sales of Changan Mazda jumped 58.36% compared to the earlier year, with 9,959 vehicles sold. 

Additionally, the cumulative export volume of Changan Auto in the first two months of 2022 summed up to 35,853 vehicles.
