BYD Huweijian (Frigate) 07 to hit market on December 9
BYD Huweijian 07, or generally dubbed Frigate 07 in English context, will officially be put onto the market on December 9, according to information released by BYD. Presale of the vehicle kicked off earlier, with a price range of 220,000-280,000 yuan. BYD said that the model will be the first to adopt the company’s all-new four-link suspension system and the FSD (Frequency Selective Damping) shock absorber.

One of JIDU’s corporate entities sees name changed to Shanghai Mihang Auto
JIDU Automobile Co., Ltd. recently changed its enterprise name to Shanghai Mihang Automobile Co., Ltd., according to China’s corporate database Tianyancha. The company said that this is a normal adjustment based on business development needs, and the auto brand JIDU remains jointly owned by Baidu and Geely with unchanged stakes.
Haima Automobile sees 23.97% YoY jump in November sales
China’s automaker Haima Automobile announced on December 6 it sold 2,591 vehicles in November, representing a 23.97% increase year-over-year. In the first eleven months of the year, cumulative sales volume of the company amounted to 22,263 vehicles, down 18.37% over a year ago.
Foton Motor NEV sales soar 255.44% YoY in November
Chinese commercial vehicle maker Foton Motor sold 28,017 vehicles in November, 2,385 units of which were new energy vehicles (NEVs), which soared 255.44% over a year ago. In the first eleven months of the year, cumulative auto sales of the company amounted to 424,126 vehicles, 18,860 of which were NEVs, which represented a 175.17% hike year-on-year.
