Founded in 2003, Dongfeng Nissan saw its 10 millionth vehicle roll off line in August 2018. In May 2020, the company's production volume hit the memorable 12-million-unit mark.
According to a video released by the automaker, the milestone vehicle is an ARIYA, the first NISSAN NEXT global strategy battery-electric model that hit the Chinese market on September 27.
Coming with four trim levels, the ARIYA features a guidance price range of 272,800-342,800 yuan ($37,800-$47,500) in China. The first batch of ARIYAs were already delivered to local users in October.
The ARIYA is positioned as a compact SUV built on Nissan's CMF-EV electric platform. It adopts a coupe-style profile with a hatchback, indicating a dynamic theme different from typical Nissan models. The ARIYA measures 4,603mm long, 1,900mm wide, and 1,658mm tall, with a 2,775mm wheelbase and 20'' low wind drag five-spoke wheel rims.
The electric model is powered by the automaker's e-4ORCE electric four-wheel-drive system, providing fast and stable onboard experience via high-precision electric motor torque control with 600N·m sportscar-level torque.
