Dongfeng Motor Group sees 3% YoY rise in Jan.-Oct. passenger vehicle sales
Beijing (ZXZC)- In October, Dongfeng Motor Group Company Limited (Dongfeng Motor Group) sold 217,757 vehicles, representing a 4.4% decrease from a year ago.

In the first ten months of this year, the group’s cumulative sales volume reached 2,098,960 vehicles, slipping 6.75% year over year.
In the passenger vehicle sector, Dongfeng Motor Group sold 195,174 vehicles in October, down 2.4% from the previous year. In the Jan.-Oct. period, the group sold 1,839,522 passenger vehicles in total, indicating a 3% rise year on year.
Sepcifically, the group’s premium new energy vehicle (NEV) brand, VOYAH, delivered 2,553 vehicles in the past month, representing a 1.3% notch up over the previous month and a 219.9% soar over the prior year. In the first ten months of 2022, VOYAH’s cumulative sales volume summed up to 16,172 vehicles.
As to the group’s joint ventures, Dongfeng Peugeot Citroën sold 14,589 vehicles in the past month, indicating a 4.6% rise over September and a 45% surge from a year ago. By the end of October, the company’s cumulative sales volume amounted to 105,013 vehicles in 2022, zooming up 45.94% year over year.
Meanwhile, Dongfeng Nissan (including Nissan, Venucia, and Infiniti brands) sold 82,783 vehicles in October, representing a 10.6% decline compared to the same period in 2021. From January to October, the joint venture’s cumulative sales volume summed up to 802,671 vehicles, down 15.5% year on year.
Lastly, Dongfeng Honda saw a 28.5% year-on-year drop in its monthly sales in October, which came in at 51,816 vehicles. In the first ten months of 2022, the joint venture sold 563,656 vehicles in total, which slipped down 6.42%% from the same period last year.
