Shanghai (ZXZC)- NIO on Tuesday said via its WeChat account that it has already kicked off deliveries of its ET7 all-electric sedan in four European countries, namely, Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark, and Sweden, marking a further substantial progress for NIO’s overseas business development.

According to NIO, the ET7 delivery in Germany immediately came after the company hosted the NIO Berlin, a launch event in Europe under the theme "A New Horizon", on Oct. 7, 2022 (Germany Time). On Oct. 16, NIO delivered the first batch of ET7s to users in the Netherlands. The deliveries also commenced in mid-Oct. in both Denmark and Sweden.

At the NIO Berlin, the Chinese EV startup said it would kick off reservations of its three newest models—the ET7, the EL7, and the ET5—to consumers in the aforesaid four countries through a flexible subscription model.

NIO added it would establish sales and service networks in these countries to directly serve its users with the NIO center in Berlin about to open for business. In other cities, such as Hamburg, Frankfurt, Dusseldorf, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Copenhagen, Stockholm, and Goteborg, NIO Centers are under construction and will be put into use soon.

Regarding the power network, NIO said its European-spec charging map had been put into use. It plans to deploy 20 battery swap stations in Europe by the end of 2022, and raise the total number to 120 by the end of 2023.

The company aims to build 1,000 battery swap stations outside China by 2025, most of which will be located in Europe.
