Tesla’s Shanghai Gigafactory completed the Phase I, Stage 2nd retrofit project on its production lines on September 1 and started debugging. The estimated inspection deadline is between September 1 and November 30.

BYD acquires new subsidiary named BYD New Energy

According to Chinese corporate database Qichacha, the former Nanning Xiaozhongzheng Business Secretary Co., Ltd. has changed its company name to BYD (Guangxi) New Energy Co., Ltd., with its former shareholders all withdrew from the company. As a wholly-owned subsidiary of BYD, the new company has a raised registered capital of 100 million yuan, and an updated business scope including battery manufacture, sales of charging piles, battery-swap facilities, motor vehicle charging, and integrated quick charging stations.

CATL launches Module to Bracket tech for truck battery swapping
