Shanghai (ZXZC)- Great Wall Motor (“GWM”) announced on Tuesday its monthly auto sales reached 101,920 units in July 2022, growing 11.32% from the previous year, while also ticking up 0.73% from the previous month.

The EV-dedicated brand, ORA, scored a 21.76% growth compared to the year-ago period. Last month, the retro-inspired ORA Ballet Cat hit the market with a price range of 193,000 yuan to 223,000 yuan ($224,200-$259,050).
Last month, the company's export volume and sales of overseas markets totaled 14,710 vehicles.
For the first seven months of this year, GWM sold 620,445 vehicles, representing a 12.58% year-on-year decline.
The downturn in the company's year-to-date sales resulted from the year-on-year decrease in HAVAL and GWM Pickup's sales. Other brands still posted a year-over-year increase in Jan.-Jul. sales.
In addition, GWM reported that its new energy vehicle (“NEV”) sales amounted to 10,994 units in July, resulting in a year-to-date NEV sales volume of 74,584 units.
The automaker also announced a sales volume of 77,533 vehicles for its overseas markets during the Jan.-Jul. period.
